Plastic Surgery Patients May Be Required to Undergo Psych Screening

Given the growing concern that some patients grow “addicted” to plastic surgery, British scientists are studying whether it would be helpful to require surgery patients to undergo psychiatric screenings prior to going under the knife.

Thorough physical health screenings are already required before such elective surgeries, and researchers are considering whether such mental health screenings might be a helpful tool for doctors to determine who is and is not fit to undergo plastic surgery.

Psychological Screening Could Be in the Future for Plastic Surgery Patients
