The Daily Perricone features a wonderful shake called the Coco-Green Protein Shake to help us get back on track with healthy eating after the holidays!
The shake contains ample doses of fiber, potassium, protein and Omega-3’s, plus coconut oil. Coconut oil has been shown to give the metabolism a boost because of its thermogenic effect.
Coco-Green Protein Shake
- ¼ cup plain low-fat yogurt or kefir.
- 1 and ½ tablespoons coconut oil.
- 1 handful organic spinach.
- 1 small handful kale, about 2 leaves.
- 3 tablespoons almond butter
- 1 tablespoon Spirulina
- ¼ cup coconut milk.
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds.
- Combine ingredients in food processor or blender.
- Blend on high until all ingredients are well combined.
